Opening September 1
The Caprock Photographers:  Recent works by Sixteen Photographers. The exhibit opens September 1 and runs through September 28. Reception: September 1, 6-9pm as part of the First Friday Art Trail. An exhibit of photography by the Caprock Photographers and eight guest photographers. A wide variety of techniques and styles of photography. I will be exhibiting a series of my pinhole bodyscapes.

Figuratively Speaking: Three decades with the Tuesday Night Life Drawers. March 27 - May 7. Receptions April 7 and May 5, 6-9pm as part of the First Friday Art Trail. An exhibit of drawings by the Tuesday Night Life Drawers. They have been getting together to draw for over 30 years. Two of the initial members, Bob Skibell and Jean Schofield Badger, are still part of the group and are joined by new-comers like Bill Mueller, Wilhelm Künstler, and Carlos Jordan (some14 years or so). There will be one to 10 minute drawings and paintings by members of the group and self-portraits (non-nude: thank goodness).

Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day.  April 24, 2005, was the Worldwide Pinhole Photography DayIt was raining and cold so my plans to photograph a nude on the caprock with the full moon had to be scrapped. I improvised with a photo of the RHC longhorn sculptures. Photographers from all over the world will contribute their images to the online gallery.  My pinhole image for 2005 can be viewed at the Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day Gallery. The next Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day will be Sunday, April 30, 2006.  Get ready.
urrently on sale Lynwood Kreneck, Printmaker  by Dr. A. Isabelle Howe.    Another book on fine arts by Dr. Howe.  She is a freelance author who has written many articles on art and artists.  Dr. Howe has written a number of books in her The Art of Texas Tech University SeriesThis book offers insight on the native Texan's life from childhood to becoming a printmaker known throughout the world and on his "no-print" method of printmaking.  The book documents most of the prints Kreneck has created during his art career.  Bill Mueller photographed the prints for the book, plus photographing Lynwood Kreneck creating a print using the "no-print" printmaking process.

The Lubbock Arts Alliance will host the 8th annual Star, Cross, Angel Exhibit in the Helen Jones Studio Gallery of the Louise Hopkins Underwood Center for the Arts at 511 Avenue K, Lubbock.
Local Color Studio Tour,
Nov. 12 and 13
The Local Color Studio Tour will take place November 12 and 13 this year.  Bill Mueller's photography will be on exhibit at Ruben Castillo's studio, 2401 114th Street.  More info to come. Maps to the entire tour will be available at each of the ten studios.

Chiaroscuro is a photography exhibit by the Caprock Photographers. It will be at shown at the Lubbock Garden and Arts Center, Lubbock, Texas.  The exhibit will hang from September 1 through September 27.
Lubbock Arts Festival Lubbock Arts Festival. April 15 - 17, 2005. The Lubbock Arts Festival is sponsored by the Lubbock Arts Alliance and is an mass gathering of fine arts, crafts, and entertainment by regional and local artists.   There are numerous individual artist booths along with a juried exhibit, an invitational exhibit, and an exhibit of artists who are alumni of the Texas Tech Art Department. Lubbock Memorial Civic Center, 1501 6th St.  Bill Mueller will have a piece in the invitational gallery.
Caprock Photographers Caprock Photographers.  January 7 - 28.  A photographic exhibit featuring the individual viewpoints of Sandy Fortenberry, Darrell Miller, Eddie Jo Miller, Joe Miller, Bill Mueller, Nancy Neill, and Margaret Vurgrin.  Bill Mueller will have a selection of pin-hole photographs and images from his Femme collection.

Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day.  May 25, 2004, was the Worldwide Pinhole Photography DayI had planned a photo shoot on the caprock but it was post-poned, so I ended up creating my pinhole image indoors. My pinhole image can be viewed at the Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day Gallery.

The Morphology and Systematics of Polarornis, a Cretaceous Loon (Aves: Gaviidae) from Antarctica by Dr. Sankar Chatterjee, Museum of Texas Tech.  Proceedings of the 5th Symposium of the Society of Avian Paleontology and Evolution, 2002, p. 125-155.  A scientific article by Dr. Chatterjee describing a new genus and species of fossil bird with three photographs by Bill Mueller (Figs. 4, 5, 14).
January, 2003 The Flight of Archaeopteryx by Dr. Sankar Chatterjee.  Naturwissenschaften 90: p. 27-32.  Includes an artistic photograph of a cast of the Jurassic bird Archaeopteryx on page 31.

Peoples from the Heavenly Blue, Earthly Red:  Native Cultures of the American Southwest.  National Museum of Natural Science, Taichung, Taiwan.  An exhibit created by the Ethnology and Textiles Division of the Museum of Texas Tech University.  All of the 100+ photographs of the artifacts and art in the book (of the same name as the exhibit) were made by Bill Mueller as part of his duties as MoTTU Collections Photographer.  The touring exhibit includes nine of Bill Mueller's personal images from the Wildlife and Natural Beauty Captured and Southwest portfolios.

May 14 - August 28, 2003 Digs:  The Field Photography of Bill Mueller.  An exhibit of photographs of paleontology excavations in Texas with many recent images and a few scattered through the 70s, 80s, and 90s.  The exhibit is hanging on the second floor of the The Grace Museum, in Abilene, Texas.  Digs will be hanging during the first few months of the Grace Museum's  Dinosaurs of Texas exhibit which runs through August 28, 2004. 
2004 Calendar
Historic Fashions Calendar 2004:  The Wedding Dress.  Costume Society of America's annual calendar series edited by Sally Queen.  The calendar includes photographs of three 19th century wedding dresses from the collection of the Museum of Texas Tech and photographed for the calendar by Bill Mueller as part of his duties as MoTTU Collections Photographer.  Look for the June "brides".  The calendar is available from the Texas Tech University Press.
